Blokiments offers simple yet advanced tools for building the best strategy. In this tutorial, we will show you how the following process works.
Before trading any token, you should be aware of the great amount of scams.
Open the main Blokiments dashboard (we will call it Discovery Hub from now on) and choose the pro mode in the right corner. You should see something like this:
This page's main function is to find new tokens based on advanced filtering. We provide more than 50+ filters in different categories. Let's start with a simple yet strong filter configuration for the Ethereum network (supported networks). We select the following three filters:
Liquidity in USD greater than 100,000$: This option will only select the tokens with 100,000$ of liquidity or more. This is one of the most important metrics for a token to be tradable.
Security score better or equal good: The security metric score is our internal score that summarizes all the security metrics (honeypots, sell tax, ownership, verified contract, proxy...) in one simple score. We tried to make the metric as good as possible and constantly improved it to prevent traders from getting scammed (but it's impossible to be 100% right, so always do your own research).
Pair age in days greater than two: This filters all the tokens older than two days. Newly created tokens are very dangerous to trade because most of them are scams. Here are some tips for not getting scammed. By selecting the tokens older than 2 days, we can skip a lot of these scams (still not secure, but much better than newly created tokens).
SORTING by change of experienced buyers on the last day: Each filter must have a sorting metric for getting the sort order of the results. We choose the change of new, unique, experienced buyers on the last day. Experienced buyers are addresses that are older than 6 months, have more than 10 ETH, and have 20 trades.
Now, we are ready to click the Apply Filters button. The selected tokens match the selected filters and are sorted in the selected order:
Clicking on the token will display detailed data. However, the Blokiments app's real power is just beginning.
With filtering, you can find the tokens that have already passed over the selected criteria, but the real power comes when you get notified about the event in real-time. The alerting system tries to achieve exactly that: get notified about new tokens when they meet the selected filter. For this feature to work, you need to create a Blokiments account (it's free).
After logging in, select the bell sign, and a new window pops up.
You can add the name, the description (it's for you - it's easier to get organized when you have multiple alerts), and the alert destination. We currently support Discord, Telegram, and Webhooks (learn more here). The option we will use today is None, which won't notify you, but you will still be able to find the alerted gems and their profits in the dashboard (more about that in the next section).
Click the Finish button to save the changes. That's itβso simple! The new tokens matching the filter will be saved. The next step is to wait for a few hours or days (depending on the conditions in the filter) and check how the filter progresses.
When new tokens are found, they are saved under the specific alert report. This can help you check the performance of your filter configuration before trading with real money. You can find the reports in the alert dashboard:
Click on the profit generation icon for the alert config you want to generate the report and wait for a few seconds for the calculation to finish. The report is ready when the spinning wheel stops (if no tokens were found for an alert, nothing happens).
The report is made of two parts:
The summary of all tokens is found in the report
The main info in this part are: total found pairs, strategy profit (real profit if you would buy and sell the token with the suggested optimized take profit and stop loss percentage, HPAD - highest profit percentage after the alert config found the token, the statistic of the trades)
The detailed information of the last found tokens by the alert
For each token, you can see when it was found by the filter config, the maximal and minimal profit, the change of volume, the current liquidity, and the current profit.
These results can easily help you check if the configured filter config is profitable. Next, we will learn how to check if we detect any scams and how to improve the filter in the future.
One thing everyone wants to avoid is buying a token and then being unable to sell it (honeypot) or getting rug-pulled. We are trying to constantly remove scams from the filter results so you won't get scammed, but it's impossible to be 100% right. So, it's possible that some of the scams find their way into the filter config results (depending on the filter configuration).
Any tokens that are later identified as scams will be highlighted in red:
Here is some advice on how to improve the filters to find less scams:
Search for tokens older than a few days (the majority of the scams happen in the first few hours after the launch of the token).
Search for the tokens with an excellent security score (it summarizes all important metrics for non-experienced users). If you want to do it alone, you can use the following filters:
Sell/buy tax -> the lower, the better, but it should not be over 10%
Is the contract verified -> The code for the tokens should always be verified and readable, so it's possible to check for the logic.
Ownership renounced -> Renounced contracts are those where the original creator or owner has relinquished control over the contract. This is crucial because, in the crypto world, the contract owner often has the ability to make changes, mint new tokens, or even drain funds from the contract. When a contract is renounced, it means these actions can no longer be performed, ensuring the project's integrity and security.
Always do your own research before buying a token.
After reviewing the results of the report, we can see the weak points and add a new filter to improve it. For example, let's add the number of shillers in the last 30d to be greater than 3. You can again add the alert as in step 2 or just save the filter for later.
The list of all filters and their explanations is available here. We also provide strategy guides here.
When you are happy with your filter configuration, you can share it on Twitter or send a direct link to your friend.
A detail description of all features in the discovery hub is available here.
